Play for P.I.N.K. originally began with a golf tournament for women. Since that time, we have expanded on the golf concept through sporting and lifestyle events including men's tournaments, tennis, swimming, cards, pilates, wine tastings, shopping benefits and spa days. We have also been the beneficiary of an equestrian event in Wellington, Florida for the past eight years. There is no limit to the kind of event that can be organized to benefit Play for P.I.N.K.
We will furnish you with all the materials you need to run your event - everything from the tees and markers for a golf event to the wonderful Estée Lauder product for the gift bag, even the gift bag itself! Since you are volunteering your time, we try to help you out as much as we can.
100% of the proceeds from Play for P.I.N.K. go directly to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This year alone, Play for P.I.N.K. donated $3 million to BCRF for a cumulative total of $18.75 million since 1996! Funds are raised through various ways including participant registration fees, event ticket sales, specialty purchases, auctions and raffles. Sponsorships and underwriters are also sought out for these events to keep hard costs to a minimum.
The numbers speak for themselves. 100% of the Play for P.I.N.K. proceeds go to BCRF. BCRF gives a minimum of 85 cents of every dollar raised directly to breast cancer research and awareness programs. For eight consecutive years, BCRF has received the highest possible rating of four stars from Charity Navigator which means they have outperformed 99% of more than 5,400 evaluated charities in efficiently managing its finances. Since 2002, BCRF has been awarded an "A+" rating from the American Institute of Philanthropy and was named by
Money magazine as one of America's eight top charities. No other breast cancer organization has received these accolades.
