Alpine Plays for P.I.N.K.!

If Spring is when a young man's thoughts turn to baseball, June is when Alpine Country Club's focus turns PINK. June 16th was our Women's Play for P.I.N.K. tournament. This year, we added a P.I.N.K. clinic for our newer golfers. Mother Nature threw wind, rain and finally some sun at us, but it didn't matter. Wherever you looked, you saw smiling faces and lots and lots of PINK! Including our fabulous PINK Power Rangers! Our Club President, along with several devoted mates, donned their pink shirts (and pants) and manned their golf carts, taking pictures, handing out pink lemonade, bottles of Fuze, and dishes of watermelon and cherries. They loved helping us; we loved having them! The flowers in our Golfhouse and our Clubhouse were created, made and donated by one of our florally-gifted members, Janet Ginsberg. Her pink carnation ribbon was spectacular as was our luncheon, which was as always lovingly prepared by Chef Nick Gatti.

Sunday, Father's Day, saw our annual Men for P.I.N.K. Par 3 tournament within a tournament. This is the time the men in our lives honor the women in their lives by supporting our cause. And they did. Some wear PINK. Others donate green for PINK. All are happy to give to PINK.
