2nd Annual Pink Ribbon Walk;
Hampton Hills Raises over $100,000!

The 2nd ANNUAL PINK RIBBON WALK took place on Saturday, September 30th. The one mile walk began at noon at the Elks Hall in North Arlington, NJ. The event was once again being organized by Sweet Cravings' owner, Patti Sickinger, a three-time cancer survivor who said she wanted the children of the community to participate in something fun where they could gain an awareness of the disease. "It's important for them to have an understanding", Sickinger said. "When they saw me without hair at the store, they thought I was dying." This year we had over 800 walkers, including Debbie DuHaine, from Channel 7 Traffic News and Ray Lucas, former Jets quarterback.

The 7th ANNUAL PLAY FOR PINK EVENT on July 27 at the Hampton Hills Golf & Country Club in Westhampton, NY raised over $100,000! Chaired once again by Betsy Green and Jane Pontarelli, the day was an overwhelming success, thanks to Grand Benefactor Carol Judelson. After golf, over 150 guests dressed in pink and white filled the dining roon and patio which were also adorned with pink and white linens and balloons. The afternoon culminated with the drawing of the lucky raffle winners - some of whom went home with gifts valued at up to $4,200!
